Mountain Technologies Limited is ISO 9001:2015 Re-certified

Mountain Technologies Limited is proud to announce that after a considerable effort and participation from all our staff, we have completed our recertification audit and have maintained our ISO 9001:2015 certification. This is a significant achievement for the company, as we have always sought to hold ourselves to a high standard of continuous process improvement to ensure that the products we build meet the needs of our customers through an effective quality management system.

ISO 9001 provides a framework and a set of principles that ensure a common-sense approach to the management of our organization to consistently satisfy customers and other stakeholders. By applying the principles of the “Process Approach” and “Risk-Based Thinking” to our processes we are in a better position to deliver excellent products and customer service again and again.

We would also like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to our customers and suppliers for their continued commitment and loyalty. With our goals focused on the emphasis on quality assurance and innovative production, we look forward to bringing the business to new heights in the months and years to come.

COVID-19 Update: Mountain Technologies Remains Open for Business

The BC Government has released an Essential Services Only Directive in support of the containment of the Coronavirus. Mountain Technologies Limited is considered a critical part of the supply chain of many of our customers and has therefore been deemed an Essential Service.

We are committed to maintaining our manufacturing operations and to remain fully operational in support of our customers during these challenging times.

As a family business, our priority is to provide for the health and safety of our employees, their families and our customers.

At this time, we have no concerns about the presence of the virus at our location and will continue with the following best practices from Health Canada to help prevent the spread:

• cancellation of onsite visits by customers, suppliers and all outside personnel.
• complying with all health authority guidelines, including appropriate hygiene protocols and mandatory physical distancing.
• screening employees and directing them to comply with self-quarantine and isolation as required.
• frequently and proactively sanitizing all high contact areas.

These procedures have resulted in a significant decrease in the normally expected seasonal employee absenteeism due to common illnesses. This gives us hope that we are heading in the right direction.

New Machines Added to our Production

We have just acquired a new Schleuniger MultiStrip 9480 cut & strip machine, a Schleuniger PreFeeder 3200 prefeeding machine and a Schleuniger WireTwister 3300 D dual head twisting machine. The Mountain Technologies’ team is excited about the quality and efficiency of these state-of-the-art machines.

Along with the CrimpCenter 36 S purchased 2 years ago, these versatile machines with function together seamlessly.

We Have a New Elite Wire Crimping Machine!

We have just acquired a new Schleuniger CrimpCenter 36 S, a top-of-the-line wire crimping machine that will help our team produce the highest quality product possible.

Our new wire handling machine is one of only six in Canada, and is the only one west of Ontario. Mountain Technologies President Andrew Buttjes says this “very elegant, almost robotic wire handling machine will take our production to new heights” with its powerful servo and precise control system.

The CrimpCenter 36 S will maximize productivity with its intelligent data storage and retrieval combined with six, fully automatic processing stations. We will be able to tackle even the most demanding production schedules.
